About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to fill this critical role. As a Bilingual Case Manager, you will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to provide case management, travel assistance, and direct services to asylum seekers and refugees. Your expertise and experience will be invaluable in helping our clients achieve their goals and build a brighter future.
Responsibilities:- Welcome and support asylum seekers and refugees at our shelter locations
- Provide essential resources and information to help clients navigate the immigration process
- Conduct intake and assessment to determine immediate needs and develop personalized plans
- Ensure timely and effective delivery of services, including travel arrangements and coordination with sponsors
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes and data entry in our client management software
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication
- Participate in required training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience working with client database systems and case management software
- Knowledge and experience in case management, customer service, and crisis intervention
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Bilingual in Spanish/English (or other language commonly spoken at the shelter) preferred
