Job Overview

Position: Co-Lead Teacher for Preschool (ages three to four)

Reports To: Early Childhood Education Director and Assistant Director

Compensation: $37,000 - $42,500

Since its inception in 1986, ACS has offered high-quality early childhood education and comprehensive family services at no cost, addressing the holistic needs of families.

Role Summary: Under the guidance of the Early Childhood Education Director and Assistant Director, Co-Lead Teachers collaborate to ensure the provision of an exceptional educational experience for children and their families. This includes addressing the educational, safety, hygiene, nutrition, and emotional needs of the children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement the curriculum using Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum.
  • Deliver engaging instruction and age-appropriate activities for children.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor children's progress.
  • Foster positive communication and contribute to a supportive work environment.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adequate supervision in accordance with the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning standards.
  • Participate in required meetings and professional development sessions.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the ECE Director and Assistant Director.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • A degree in Early Childhood Education or a higher qualification is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a licensed childcare setting.

Work Schedule: Standard 40-hour work week, typically Monday through Friday.
