ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES


The Senior Electrical Construction Manager is accountable for marketing, estimating, project administration, planning, scheduling, and reporting for medium-sized electrical construction initiatives.

Hunt Electric engages in various sectors including Commercial, Health Care, Signal Work, and Industrial Mining projects.

This position is primarily based in our Duluth office. We welcome candidates who are interested in relocating to the area.

Key responsibilities include:


- Cultivating existing and establishing new customer relationships to secure future projects.


- Overseeing and guiding service technicians, general foremen, foremen, and their teams to ensure compliance with contracts, union agreements, and all company policies.


- Managing assigned projects efficiently while maintaining a commitment to customer satisfaction, quality workmanship, and a positive industry reputation.


- Preparing, processing, and maintaining all necessary documentation, correspondence, schedules, reports, and billing related to contract responsibilities.


- Directing project planning through purchasing, engineering, subcontracting, and installation.


- Collaborating with a team during the bidding process when necessary.



QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a project manager in the electrical sector.


Proficiency in understanding design/build requirements and the scope of contract documents for electrical work.


Familiarity with materials, methods, and tools used in the electrical industry.


Knowledge of business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of manpower and resources.


Ability to set specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish tasks effectively.



Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Capability to train, delegate, and coordinate the work of Assistant Project Managers, Estimators, and other team members.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This role operates in a professional office environment while occasionally visiting construction sites. The position routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers, and fax machines.

Employees are frequently required to sit and may occasionally need to kneel, reach, stoop, crouch, or crawl.

This position requires the ability to lift files, open file cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.

Occasionally, this role may involve lifting up to 25 pounds.
