Desert Regional Medical Center, a prominent 385-bed acute-care facility recognized as a stroke receiving center and level 2 trauma institution, is dedicated to delivering innovative, patient-centered care through its Rehabilitation Services Department. Our dedicated team offers a comprehensive array of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement, spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, and outpatient therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
The Clinical Manager will oversee daily operations within the Telemetry Department, ensuring efficient management of human resources while maintaining cost-effectiveness. This role involves addressing and resolving complaints from patients, visitors, staff, and physicians, while providing appropriate guidance to management and administration. The Clinical Manager must demonstrate adaptability in responding to fluctuating workloads during emergencies and crises.
Department-Specific Duties:
- Lead and support telemetry staff in the care of telemetry, stroke, and bariatric patients, adhering to interventional cardiology protocols and medication management.
- Assess patient needs and interpret information accordingly.
- Demonstrate knowledge of patient growth and development across various age groups.
- Participate in human resource management, including staff evaluation, counseling, and recruitment.
- Ensure timely completion of performance evaluations and maintain accurate employee records.
- Facilitate staff attendance at mandatory training and orientation sessions.
- Engage in nursing leadership meetings and contribute to the integrity of nursing administration.
- Support hospital initiatives, including risk management, safety, and infection control.
- Manage scheduling and promote effective teamwork within the unit.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through efficient labor and supply utilization.
Qualifications:
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000
Required:
- Active California RN License
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
- Proven clinical competence and leadership abilities
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certification
- Successful completion of EKG test within the first month of employment
- NIHSS Certification
Preferred: Previous management experience.
Compensation: $81.91 per hour, with individual wages determined by qualifications and experience.
