Critical Care Nurse Practitioner

We're seeking an experienced Pediatric Critical Care Advanced Practitioner to join our team at Duke Health. This role involves providing direct patient care services for critically ill pediatric patients aged 0-21 with acute, complex, critical, and chronic illness across various care settings.
The successful candidate will have expertise in pediatrics, acute care, and critical care medicine. They should be able to exercise independent decision-making skills in assessing, diagnosing, and developing plans of care for patients on the PCCM service.
Responsibilities
This role includes:
• Providing direct patient care services for critically ill pediatric patients
• Assessing, diagnosing, and developing plans of care for patients on the PCCM service
• Collaborating with supervising physicians to ensure high-quality patient care
• Participating in education, consultation, research, and leadership throughout the Duke Health System, organization, and profession
Requirements
This role requires a strong background in pediatric acute care nursing or physician assistant experience. A graduate degree from an accredited program is necessary, along with relevant certifications and licensures. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of ICU nursing experience and be able to practice as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in the state of North Carolina within the Duke University Health System.
