Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Neuro ICU Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Duke University Hospital. As a key member of the Neuro ICU team, you will provide direct patient care services for critically ill complex patients and contribute to excellence in patient care, research, and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care, utilizing your expertise in critical care to make informed decisions
  • Collaborate with the Neuro ICU team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in critical care and share knowledge with colleagues to enhance patient outcomes

Requirements:

  • Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Critical care fellowship training preferred
  • Current unrestricted medical license issued by NCMB (PA) or NCBON (NP)
  • Nationally recognized critical care certification for adult care (e.g., ACNP, AGACNP, CCNP)
  • 1 year experience as PA in adult critical care setting or 3 years RN experience in critical care setting + 1 year NP experience
