Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Advanced Practice Provider

Duke University Hospital, consistently ranked among the top hospitals in the United States, seeks a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Advanced Practice Provider to join our esteemed team.
The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care services for critically ill pediatric patients aged 0-21 with acute, complex, critical, and chronic illness across various care settings, including the Pediatric Intensive Care unit (PICU), Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care unit (PCICU), and Pediatric Progressive Care Unit (PPCU).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide critical care management on the Rapid Response and Code blue teams.
- Exercise independent decision making in the assessment, diagnosis, and development of the plan of care for patients on the PCCM service.
- Collaborate and consult with the supervising physician to contribute to excellence in patient care.
Requirements:
- Nurse Practitioner: Graduate of accredited MSN or DNP Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Physician Assistant: Graduate of ARC accredited Physician Assistant Program, Master's Degree or Doctoral Degree preferred.
- Physician Assistant: Current medical license issued by the NCMB with authorization to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Nurse Practitioner: Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification (PNP-AC)
- Experience in a pediatric acute care clinical setting strongly preferred. 2+ years of ICU nursing experience is also preferred.
