Pediatric Critical Care Specialist

The Duke Health Pediatric Critical Care Medicine team is seeking an experienced Pediatric Critical Care Specialist to provide direct patient care services for critically ill pediatric patients aged 0-21 with acute, complex, critical, and chronic illness across various care settings.
Responsibilities include caring for patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care unit (PICU), Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care unit (PCICU), and Pediatric Progressive Care Unit (PPCU). Additionally, you will provide critical care management on the Rapid Response and Code blue teams. As a Pediatric Critical Care Specialist, you will exercise independent decision-making in the assessment, diagnosis, and development of the plan of care for patients on the PCCM service.
Requirements:- Nurse Practitioner:
- Graduate of accredited MSN or DNP Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program
- Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by or recognized by the NCBON with authorization to practice as an NP
- Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification (PNP-AC)
- Physician Assistant:
- Graduate of ARC accredited Physician Assistant Program, Master's Degree or DSc preferred
- Current license issued by the NCMB with authorization to practice as a Physician Assistant
- PA-C
- Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant experience in a pediatric acute care clinical setting
- 2+ years of ICU nursing experience
$120,000 - $150,000 per year
