Key Responsibilities

MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society is in search of a Neonatologist to enhance our established practice.

  • Our Level-III NICU features 34 beds, with an average daily census of 25 and approximately 4,000 deliveries annually.
  • We are the sole facility in the area recognized as a Level-III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, capable of managing high-risk pregnancies and critically ill newborns.
  • This practice operates with a multi-disciplinary approach, including neonatologists, NNPs, pediatric intensivists, and pediatric hospitalists, collaborating to deliver family-centered, high-quality healthcare.
  • Our team is supported by a range of specialists, including pediatric cardiology, endocrinology, radiology, neurology, and orthopedics.
  • We foster a welcoming and professional environment, complemented by excellent nursing staff and ancillary services such as a PICC team, IV therapy team, and a dedicated child life specialist.
  • Transport services are provided from regional hospitals, staffed by neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists.
  • Our scheduling allows for every other week off, with the convenience of on-call duties from home.
