Responsibilities

Pediatrix Medical Group is in search of a Pediatric Critical Care Specialist to become part of our well-established practice with over 30 years of service at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.
The Level-III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) features 34 beds, an average daily census of 25, and handles approximately 4,000 deliveries annually.
This facility is the sole area institution designated as a Level-III NICU, equipped to manage high-risk pregnancies and critically ill newborns.
Our multi-disciplinary team includes pediatricians, neonatal nurse practitioners, pediatric intensivists, and pediatric hospitalists, all dedicated to delivering family-centered, high-quality healthcare.
We are supported by a range of specialists, including pediatric cardiology, endocrinology, radiology, neurology, and orthopedics.
Our work environment is friendly and professional, complemented by excellent nursing staff and ancillary services, including a PICC team, IV therapy team, and a full-time child life specialist.
Transport services from regional hospitals are staffed by a neonatal nurse and respiratory therapist.
Enjoy a schedule that allows for every other week off, with the convenience of on-call duties from home.

About the Hospital
Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare is a 772-bed acute care facility serving a 21-county region in North Florida and South Georgia.
It is home to the primary NICU in the area, leading the region by delivering over 75% of the babies born locally.
This institution is the only one in Tallahassee to receive the Baby-Friendly Hospital designation, committed to providing patient-centered care for newborns and their families.
We are affiliated with three residency programs.
