Key Responsibilities

MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society is in search of a Neonatologist to become part of our established practice at a prominent healthcare institution.

  • The facility features a Level-III NICU with 34 beds, an average daily census of 25, and approximately 4,000 deliveries each year.
  • It is the sole local establishment designated as a Level-III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, equipped to manage high-risk pregnancies and critically ill newborns.
  • This practice operates with a multidisciplinary approach, including neonatologists, NNPs, pediatric intensivists, and pediatric hospitalists, collaborating to deliver family-centered healthcare.
  • Supported by a diverse range of specialists such as pediatric cardiology, pediatric endocrinology, pediatric radiology, pediatric neurology, and pediatric orthopedics.
  • Enjoy a collegial environment with dedicated nursing staff and ancillary services, including a PICC team, IV therapy team, and a full-time child life specialist.
  • Transport services are provided from surrounding hospitals, staffed by a neonatal nurse and respiratory therapist.
  • Flexible schedule with every other week off and the ability to be on-call from home.
