Job Summary:The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky seeks a highly qualified candidate for the position of Chief of the Division of Rheumatology. The Division is poised to achieve regional and national recognition in clinical care delivery and medical education with opportunities to build a robust research program focused on the care of medically complex patients.
The successful candidate will be appointed as an Associate or Full Professor and will be responsible for a combination of administrative, clinical, research, and educational duties pertinent to their background and experience.
The Division of Rheumatology must lead our growing robust outpatient academic practice and promote the development of expertise in medical education, complex care, quality and safety, and health services research.
Candidates should have excellent skills and experience in leadership, education, and research to further advance the success of our clinical and academic programs.

Responsibilities:- Lead the Division of Rheumatology in clinical care delivery and medical education
- Develop and implement a robust research program focused on the care of medically complex patients
- Provide administrative leadership and oversight to the Division
- Collaborate with other departments and divisions to advance the success of our clinical and academic programs
- MD Degree or Equivalent
- Clinical Rheumatology Experience
- Completion of residency and fellowship
- Clinical physician experience and demonstrated qualifications in education and research
- Internal Medicine Board certified
- Board eligible or board certified in Rheumatology
- Eligible for, or in possession of, a license to practice medicine in the state of KY
- Additional training with a Masters degree in Public Health, Research, Education, Health Administration, or Business
