Job Title: Research Faculty in Rheumatology and Immunology

Job Summary: The College of Medicine Department of Internal Medicine is seeking a PhD Research Faculty member to be appointed at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level, Regular Title Series, Tenure-Track to the Division of Rheumatology with a joint appointment in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct innovative, rigorous, grant-funded research and engage in scholarly activities (peer-reviewed publications, presentations, etc.).
  • Contribute to undergraduate teaching and behaviorally oriented training of UK medical students and research training of UK graduate students and postdoctoral scholars associated with the Divisions of Rheumatology and Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics.
  • Engage in broader research and training initiatives across all 16 Colleges of the University of Kentucky, including Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Public Health, Pharmacy, Nursing, Communication and Information Sciences, Health Sciences, etc.
  • Support the clinical research mission of the Division through various roles, including development and supervision of clinical protocols, accrual of patients to clinical trials, and participation in regulatory oversight programs for clinical research.

Requirements:

  • PhD or equivalent degree
  • Research experience in Rheumatology and Immunology
