Job Title: Associate or Professor and Division Chief of Rheumatology

Job Summary:
The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky seeks candidates for the position of Chief of the Division of Rheumatology. The Division is poised to achieve regional and national recognition in clinical care delivery and medical education with opportunity to build a robust research program focused on the care of medically complex patients. UK HealthCare ranks in the top quartile of academic medical centers with service volume per year of over 1 million outpatient visits and over 40,000 hospital discharges with an annual operating budget of approximately $2 billion.

Responsibilities:
The Chief will lead our growing robust outpatient academic practice and promote the development of expertise in medical education, complex care, quality and safety, and health services research. Candidates should have excellent skills and experience in leadership, education and research to further advance the success of our clinical and academic programs.

Requirements:
Internal Medicine Board certified, Board eligible or board certified in Rheumatology, In current possession of, or eligible for, license to practice medicine in the state of KY, Completion of residency and fellowship, Clinical physician experience and demonstrated qualifications in education and research.

Preferred Education/Experience:
Additional training with a Masters degree in Public Health, Research, Education, Health Administration or Business is preferred
