Job Title: Research Faculty in Rheumatology and Immunology Position

Job Summary:
The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky is seeking a PhD Research Faculty member to be appointed at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level, Regular Title Series, Tenure-Track to the Division of Rheumatology with a joint appointment in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. The selected candidate will be expected to conduct innovative, rigorous, grant-funded research and engage in scholarly activities, including peer-reviewed publications and presentations. The faculty member will also contribute to undergraduate teaching and research training of UK graduate students and postdoctoral scholars associated with the Divisions of Rheumatology and Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct innovative, rigorous, grant-funded research
• Engage in scholarly activities, including peer-reviewed publications and presentations
• Contribute to undergraduate teaching and research training of UK graduate students and postdoctoral scholars
• Support the clinical research mission of the Division through various roles, including development and supervision of clinical protocols, accrual of patients to clinical trials, and participation in regulatory oversight programs for clinical research

Requirements:
• PhD or equivalent degree
• Research experience in Rheumatology and Immunology
• Ability to conduct innovative, rigorous, grant-funded research
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
