Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Preparation and Review: Prepare and evaluate tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
  • Engagements: Conduct review and compilation engagements.
  • Client Interaction: Facilitate tax planning discussions and maintain proactive communication with clients.
  • Bookkeeping Oversight: Supervise and review bookkeeping tasks.
  • Payroll Tax Management: Prepare and assess quarterly and annual payroll tax returns.
  • Tax Notices: Address IRS, state, or county notices on behalf of clients.
  • Staff Development: Train and manage team members as necessary.
  • Deadline Adherence: Ensure timely completion of assignments within set deadlines.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: At least 5 years in public accounting with a focus on tax.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Certifications: CPA required; Enrolled Agent designation preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Thomson Reuters UltraTax, Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks is advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Work Ethic: Capability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work additional hours during peak tax seasons.
