We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales and Distribution Representative to join our team at Manhattan Beer Distributors. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for achieving route goals and objectives for volume sales and product distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve route goals and objectives for volume sales and product distribution
- Seek out new accounts and distribution opportunities
- Maintain call frequency to all accounts, ensuring maximum sales and distribution of assigned brands, as well as phenomenal customer service
- Initiate relationships with account personnel and managers to recommend merchandising opportunities
- Analyze selling trends and prepare fact-based presentations for accounts, increasing distribution and volume goals
- Implement brand development programs to increase exposure for identified brands
- Maintain all account displays, point of sale materials, and marketing materials in accordance with brand program and company guidelines
- Prepare and submit reports on key sales metrics
- Ensure products on shelf and in coolers are properly rotated to avoid expiration
- Execute cooler resets and rearrangement of product as requested
- Serve as the primary contact with all supplier personnel, coordinating efforts to execute sales and marketing plans
- Attend and complete all necessary training requirements for the role
Requirements
- Degree preferred
- Valid Driver's License/Car
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
- Capacity to bend and lift heavy objects on a regular basis
- Minimum of 1-2 years of retail sales experience
- Experience in merchandising
- Intermediate to advanced skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
