Job Opportunity

M.S. Walker is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join our team in the Brooklyn area. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing new business and maintaining existing customer relationships, achieving sales growth, and analyzing account bases to identify opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Account and Territory Management
    • Develop new business and maintain existing customer relationships
    • Achieve sales growth in-line with stated overall sales goals
    • Analyze account base to identify opportunities and discuss product needs through a relationship-based selling approach
    • Ensure maximum brand visibility within accounts by maintaining account KPIs and using effective and current point-of-sale materials
    • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations to customers by balancing the company's priorities and customer's needs
    • Maintain customer records, prepare sales materials, and submit orders for processing
    • Work with national account team for program compliance
  • Product and Industry Knowledge
    • Stay current and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of wine varietals and international wines in addition to all M.S. Walker products
    • Educate customer and account staff on priority brands by administering educational staff training seminars
    • Remain informed of company/supplier activities and updates by attending, and actively participating in, weekly sales meetings
  • Collaboration and Team
    • Contribute to team effort in accomplishing goals
    • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies or marketing information
    • Work with management to achieve company objectives and individual goals
  • Learn and Develop
    • Successfully engage in and complete a paid 2-4 week in-field training and immersion program to integrate and learn the MSW sales process and product offerings
    • Engage in continuous self-education and professional development
    Requirements
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in fine wine wholesale, distribution, and/or importing with established client relationships
    • Superior wine and spirits knowledge
    • Effective self and time management skills
    • Goal oriented, strong work ethic, positive mental attitude, and a team player
    • Outstanding relationship building and selling skills
    • Excellent organization, follow-up, and communication skills
    • Ability to walk, sit, stand, reach overhead and lift up to 45lbs
    • Valid driver's license required
