Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursing Care Coordinator Assistant to join our team at BronxCare Health System. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in coordinating nursing care on a shift within a specific unit, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Nurse Manager in coordinating nursing care on a shift within a specific unit.
  • Supervise all nursing activities related directly or indirectly to patient care.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors, and other employees.
  • Contribute to and participate in Performance/Quality Improvement activities of the assigned department.
  • Administer nursing care based on scientific and therapeutic principles of nursing and according to physician's orders.
  • Coordinate staff activities in the performance of the nursing process.
  • Ensure patient needs are met through assignment of appropriate classification of personnel.
  • Participate in patient care conferences.
  • Review and analyze trends pertinent to the delivery of nursing care within the unit and recommend relevant innovations.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates leadership abilities.
  • Demonstrates commitment to continuing professional development through appropriate continuing education.
  • NYS Registered Professional Nurse License.
  • Bachelor's in Nursing or related field.
Working Conditions

This is a regular full-time position with a maximum salary of $106,200.00 per year. The shift is day shift, and the department is Emergency Room - Medical Staff (BHCS).
