Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Nurse Manager in coordinating nursing care on a shift within a specific unit.
  • Supervise nursing activities related to patient care and ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to Performance Improvement activities and participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) teams.
  • Administer nursing care based on scientific and therapeutic principles and physician's orders.
  • Coordinate staff activities in the performance of the nursing process and ensure patient needs are met.
  • Participate in patient care conferences and contribute to the development of the nursing regimen for patients within a given unit.
  • Review and analyze trends pertinent to the delivery of nursing care and recommend innovations.
  • Participate in departmental committees and utilize learning resources to enhance professional development.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates leadership abilities and commitment to continuing professional development.
  • NYS Registered Professional Nurse License.
  • Bachelor's in Nursing or related field.
