Key Responsibilities- Assist the Nurse Manager in coordinating nursing care on a shift within a specific unit.
- Supervise nursing activities related to patient care and ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
- Contribute to Performance Improvement activities and participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) teams.
- Administer nursing care based on scientific and therapeutic principles and physician's orders.
- Coordinate staff activities in the performance of the nursing process and ensure patient needs are met.
- Participate in patient care conferences and contribute to the development of the nursing regimen for patients within a given unit.
- Review and analyze trends pertinent to the delivery of nursing care and recommend innovations.
- Participate in departmental committees and utilize learning resources to enhance professional development.
- Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience preferred.
- Demonstrates leadership abilities and commitment to continuing professional development.
- NYS Registered Professional Nurse License.
- Bachelor's in Nursing or related field.
