Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ground Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Delta Air Lines, Inc. As a Ground Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of stationary equipment, including machinery and systems used in our ground support operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on stationary equipment, including inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and support teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Document all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and testing.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year degree or related military experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in an industrial powered mechanical environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic disciplines as they apply to industrial powered systems.
  • Ability to lift items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Proficient in English.

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and apply information found in technical documents, manuals, and schematics.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to respond to customers' needs with minimum direction and perform repairs in time-sensitive situations.
