Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ground Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Delta Air Lines, Inc. As a Ground Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of stationary equipment and machinery at our airport facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on various equipment, including passenger loading bridges, air handlers, gear boxes, and baggage handling systems.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment to identify and resolve issues.
  • Repair and replace components, clean, and assemble equipment as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and external vendors to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues to GSE Supervision.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year degree or related military experience preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in an industrial powered mechanical environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States.

  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, manuals, and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic disciplines.
