Ground Maintenance Mechanic

Delta Air Lines, Inc. is seeking a skilled Ground Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a Ground Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our ground support equipment, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on ground support equipment, including inspections, troubleshooting, and replacement of components.
- Assist Lead Ground Maintenance Technicians and other team members as needed.
- Complete data entry to record work assignments and communicate with other Delta personnel as required.
- 6 months of experience in a vehicle/heavy equipment maintenance environment.
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields as they apply to industrial powered systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year degree or related military experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license and proficiency in English required.
- Ability to lift items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
- Willingness to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Detailed understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic subject areas.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and apply information found in technical documents, manuals, and schematics.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to respond to customers' needs with minimum direction and perform repairs in time-sensitive situations.
