Amber Grove Place is a Memory Care Community committed to providing exceptional care and enriching experiences for our residents.

As an Activities Assistant, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with Activities Directors and fellow staff to deliver a consistent program of engaging activities for residents experiencing Dementia, Alzheimer's, and MCI (mild cognitive impairment).
  • Working alongside various departments to address the physical, emotional, and social needs of each resident.
  • Supporting community volunteers, scheduled entertainers, and resident visitors as needed.
  • Assisting with the transportation of residents to and from activities.
  • Leading scheduled activities to stimulate residents' minds, bodies, and spirits.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Experience in activities coordination within senior care or child development is a plus, but not required.
  • A genuine passion for working with seniors and enhancing their quality of life.
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Health assessment to confirm capability to perform job responsibilities.
  • Effective communication skills with residents, colleagues, and the public, both verbally and in writing.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to adhere to a set schedule.
