Senior Construction Manager

Vanir Construction Management is seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Manager to join our team. As a Senior Construction Manager, you will be responsible for providing construction management services on multiple or complex projects. This includes strong knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements. You will also be responsible for onsite liaison with contractor and oversight of progress of construction, as well as coordinating, directing, and monitoring activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities. Additionally, you will manage project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures or as required by the client. You will conduct project meetings and provide meeting minutes, documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information. You will ensure contractors, architects, and engineers will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipment. You will also provide management of project logistics, organization and safety, and ensure project closeout to obtain guarantees, warranties, and related provisions for turnover to the owner, including closeout requirements. You will ensure project team adheres to safety requirements and performs other duties as required to ensure project success.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture is desired OR 15+ years of documented GC or CM field experience. Minimum of 9 years of experience as a Construction Manager and an additional 3 years of experience as a Senior Construction Manager supervising staff is required. Experience with public projects in California, CA Public Contract Code (PCC), specifically with Municipal, Higher Education, Community College, or DSA K-12 projects is required. Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Knowledge and application of construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices are required. Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related Construction Management systems are required. Ability to handle multiple contractors and multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously is required. Registration as an Architect, Professional Engineer, and/or licensed as a General Contractor is preferred. Certified Construction Manager preferred.
