Job Summary

Discovery Behavioral Health DBH is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. As a Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing treatment services according to the Discovery Clinical Model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Patient Safety: Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Provide Milieu Interventions: Collaborate with the treatment team to provide milieu interventions that promote a safe and supportive environment.
  • Lead Therapy Groups: Facilitate psychoeducational and process-oriented therapy groups to support patients in achieving their treatment goals.
  • Conduct Clinical Assessments: Conduct thorough clinical assessments to inform treatment planning and ensure patient needs are met.
  • Provide Individual and Family Therapy: Offer individual and family therapy sessions to support patients in achieving their treatment goals.
  • Case Management: Manage a caseload of 10-15 patients in outpatient settings, ensuring timely completion of clinical documentation and effective communication with the treatment team.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctorate Degree: Possess a Master's or Doctorate degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, social work, or counseling.
  • State Requirements: Meet state requirements to conduct therapeutic interventions, including licensure and certification.
  • Clinical License: Hold an active clinical license in the state of Maryland or operate under a Maryland-approved supervisor.
  • Certifications: Obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire and CPR, AED, and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Driver's License: Possess a current driver's license and be in good standing.
