About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Psychologist to join our team at the VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with a range of mental health conditions, including traumatic brain injury, chronic pain, and spinal cord injuries.
  • Provide individual and group psychotherapy, as well as cognitive and behavioral interventions, to help patients achieve their treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that address the physical and emotional needs of our patients.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to provide consultation and education to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Conduct research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of mental health services and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure to practice psychology in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • Experience working with patients with traumatic brain injury, chronic pain, and spinal cord injuries.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
