Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to diagnose mental health and substance use disorders, utilizing evidence-based assessment tools and techniques.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address clients' unique needs, incorporating medication management, therapy, and other appropriate interventions.
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications as needed to ensure clients receive safe and effective treatment for their mental health conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and coordinate treatment plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing symptoms and improving overall well-being.
- Respond to psychiatric emergencies and ensure the safety and stability of clients, utilizing crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to collaborate on client care and stay updated on best practices in psychiatry.
- MD or DO degree with a specialization in Psychiatry from an accredited institution.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice psychiatry in the state of TN.
- Board certification in Psychiatry is preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric setting, with experience in addiction psychiatry highly desirable.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Deep understanding of psychiatric disorders, substance use disorders, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to client-centered care.

- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear.
- May be required to lift and/or move up to 15 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
