  • Prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications as needed to ensure clients receive safe and effective treatment for their mental health conditions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and coordinate treatment plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing symptoms and improving overall well-being.
  • Respond to psychiatric emergencies and ensure the safety and stability of clients, utilizing crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions to collaborate on client care and stay updated on best practices in psychiatry.
Requirements:
  • MD or DO degree with a specialization in Psychiatry from an accredited institution.
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice psychiatry in the state of TN.
  • Board certification in Psychiatry is preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a psychiatric setting, with experience in addiction psychiatry highly desirable.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Deep understanding of psychiatric disorders, substance use disorders, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to client-centered care.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
