Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor 3 to join our team at the New York State Office of Mental Health. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and construction activities at our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee maintenance, repair, and construction activities to ensure regulatory and code compliance.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
  • Inspect all work in progress and completed work to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of maintenance staff.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize maintenance needs.
Requirements
  • 2 years of second-level supervisory experience in maintenance and operation of a physical plant, building construction, and/or building renovation and/or repair projects.
  • Direct supervisory responsibility for workers who also supervised one or more workers.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to ensure optimal facility performance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
