Role of the Client Manager

The Client Manager plays a crucial role in supporting producers and internal teams, focusing on both the retention of current clients and the acquisition of new ones. This position involves marketing both new and renewal business in collaboration with producers, which includes preparing proposals and securing coverage. The Client Manager also serves as a peer leader within the service team, ensuring exceptional customer service alongside the Client Advocate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee service team operations
  • Act as a subject matter expert for producers and clients
  • Manage the renewal process effectively
  • Conduct marketing for new business opportunities
  • Facilitate marketing for renewal business
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners
  • Prepare and issue necessary documentation
  • Provide support for additional accounts as required
  • Contribute to a culture of employee ownership by participating in agency and carrier events
  • Demonstrate knowledge of agency carriers and the insurance marketplace to resolve client issues

Qualifications:
  • Preferred 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in Business/Commercial Lines Insurance customer service
  • Current experience as a Client Manager or similar role
  • Strong understanding of insurance markets and coverages
  • CIC designation or equivalent preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with AMS360 is desirable
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Must obtain Minnesota Property and Casualty insurance license upon hire
