Patient Service Representative

Job Summary:
A Patient Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical office environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and families, verify appointment information, and notify healthcare staff as needed.
- Register new patients, update demographic and clinical information, and scan completed forms and identification into patient documents.
- Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage patient flow, communicate with patients and staff, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Provide administrative support, including document preparation, scanning, and filing.
- Maintain confidentiality, respect patient rights, and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff, management, and external partners to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
- Minimum one year of customer service and/or medical office experience.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
