Patient Registration Specialist

Madison Approach is seeking a skilled Patient Registration Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for collecting patient demographics and insurance information, ensuring accurate and timely data entry, and providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information
- Perform accurate and timely data entry
- Notify insurance companies of patient admissions and services
- Handle patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and compassionate manner
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Perform other duties as required
- Minimum 1 year office/clerical experience
- Minimum 6 months healthcare experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in data entry and software applications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Knowledge of Cerner Millennium and Microsoft Office
- Document imaging systems and vendor management experience
