The Senior Patient Service Representative is a key member of the Westchester Medical Center team, responsible for delivering exceptional patient experiences. Responsibilities:- Patient Greeting and Registration: Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner, verify appointment information, and ensure a smooth registration process.
- Information Management: Update and maintain accurate patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, including demographic, financial, and clinical data.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure timely and efficient care.
- Communication and Translation: Provide translation services for non-English speaking patients, their families, and staff, and communicate effectively with patients regarding delays or changes in their care.
- Administrative Support: Perform general office duties, such as document preparation, scanning, mailing, and filing, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Training and Development: Train and educate patient service representatives to improve performance and skill level, and contribute to the development of a high-performing team.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of customer service and/or medical office experience required.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree from an accredited institution preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates preferred, but not required; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
