Job Summary

Thorlabs is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales and Service Coordinator to provide comprehensive administrative, sales, and service support to the Measurement Systems Sales Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and send quotations to customers.
  • Support the Operations and Sales Department by preparing reports, presentations, proposals, and correspondence.
  • Ensure all invoices are approved and/or generated & distributed on a daily basis.
  • Receive and process purchase orders while ensuring accuracy.
  • Assist with coordinating shipments, both domestic and international, as well as to tradeshows and exhibitions.
  • Communicate with other Business Units within the Organization regarding sales and data information management.
  • Generate and maintain forms and documents, as well as account information for new and existing customers and contacts.
  • Backup to Inside Account Manager.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Meet company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis.
  • Perform all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
  • The Company retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar and progressive position preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED. Associates Degree preferred.
  • Experience with ERP Systems.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and communication tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedures manuals, routine reports and various correspondences.
  • Preferred experience working in an MRP System.
  • General knowledge of and enthusiasm for science.
