Extension Educator II

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Extension Educator II to join our team at UMass Amherst. As a key member of our SNAP-ED program, you will play a critical role in planning, conducting, and evaluating educational workshops and training sessions for SNAP-eligible youth and adults in the Boston area.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the SNAP-ED program in the Boston area, including organizing and teaching educational workshops and training sessions.
- Assist with project management, including budgeting, and prepare required plans and reports.
- Participate in needs assessment, formulation of program objectives, and design of delivery methods.
- Represent UMass Extension at the local level and participate in the development of promotional materials.
- Maintain and increase personal and professional competence through participation in in-service training, professional association activities, and continuing education.
- Bachelor's degree and one year of related professional experience.
- Experience with computers, including Microsoft Office products and Google Suite.
- Ability to maintain a diverse schedule of local, regional, and statewide activity.
- Excellent interpersonal and group process skills.
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability to implement adult education theories and practices with diverse audiences.
- Ability to speak Spanish.
This position is based out of our Malden, MA regional extension office and serves the greater Boston area.
