Travel Requirements: Travel is anticipated for this role (10% - 25% on average).

Position Summary:
NRSS is in search of a Regional Safety Manager to oversee field operations for Railroads, Regional Short Lines, Transit Systems, State Departments of Transportation, as well as Railroad Suppliers, Contractors, and Consultants.

Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Railroad Engineering, Railroad Design, Railroad Construction, Communication, or Education is preferred.

Equivalent combinations of technical training and relevant experience will also be considered.

Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in Railroad Engineering, Railroad Design, Railroad Construction, Communication, or Education (Class 1 experience preferred).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement technical training programs.
  • Facilitate on-the-job training initiatives.
  • Develop, assess, and refine training materials.
  • Oversee project staff and coordinate schedules and resources.
  • Establish work plans and staffing requirements for project phases.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as necessary.
  • Lead and coordinate team activities effectively.
  • Identify and manage assigned tasks efficiently.
