Before the hiring date, candidates must complete a fingerprint examination by the Department of Justice, pass a medical assessment (which may include drug testing and possibly a psychological evaluation), sign a constitutional oath, and provide proof of U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
For certain roles, candidates may also need to present proof of age, undergo a background check (which may include a voice stress analysis and/or a polygraph), and/or be bonded.
Positions related to law enforcement and those supporting law enforcement functions will require the completion of a conviction history questionnaire prior to or during the interview process.
Candidates with access to Medi-Cal billing software or who are licensed providers must clear the Federal Exclusion List, credentialing, and social security verification. Failure to meet these requirements may result in the withdrawal of an employment offer.
