About the Role

Ryan Companies US is seeking a highly experienced Safety Director to join our team in a mission critical sector. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and health of our employees, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive safety program that meets or exceeds industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction activities and provide guidance on safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, commissioning, and subcontractors, to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Investigate incidents and near-miss events, and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on safety-related topics, including electrical safety, lockout/tagout procedures, and hazardous energy control.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near-miss events, and training programs.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive emergency response plan.
  • Collaborate with the corporate safety committee to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in safety management, with a focus on NFPA 70E compliance.
  • OSHA 500 Authorized Construction Trainer certification.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual Spanish and English.
  • CSP, GSP, CIH, ASP, CHST, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience with building management systems and automation.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques, terminology, and documentation.
