Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Foster a positive and productive team environment at the location and regional level.
    • Accountable for the financial performance of locations within the region.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Effectively communicate and collaborate with direct reports, peers, and divisional leadership to achieve business objectives.
    • Provide coaching and development opportunities to direct reports to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Align and implement business requirements from various divisions and administrative areas.
    • Support the Director of Safety & Compliance in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with the Maintenance area to implement best practices for preventative maintenance and repair.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage labor and variable expenses to ensure adequate earnings.
    • Control location inventories to meet seasonal demand.
    • Manage the location's accounts receivable and payable.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to promote growth in sales and purchases.
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to achieve volume goals.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Supervisory experience with demonstrated communication and collaboration skills.
    • Knowledge of and experience in agricultural sales and retail management.
    • Experience with profit & loss statements and management information systems.
    • Understanding of facilities and rolling stock, their design, use, and maintenance requirements.
    Requirements
    • Static strength to lift, push, pull, or carry objects with a minimum weight of 50 pounds.
    • Agricultural environment – possible exposure to seasonal weather, outdoor conditions, and agricultural products.
