Job Title: Behavior Technician

Join Aveanna Healthcare as a Behavior Technician and be part of an interdisciplinary team in the home, community, or school setting. As a Behavior Technician, you will provide support to individuals with developmental delays or behavioral challenges, enabling them to participate fully in social and instructional environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement skill acquisition programs under the direction of certified professionals.
  • Collect data and graph results on skill acquisition programs.
  • Assist in completing assessments, such as VB-MAPP and ABLLS.
  • Update program books and electronic medical records.
  • Implement strategies to prevent and provide consequences for maladaptive behavior.
  • Model behavior analytic teaching strategies for parents and school personnel.
Requirements:
  • At least one year of full-time paid work experience in a job involving direct contact with children or adolescents.
  • High School degree in a related field and three years' experience working with individuals with developmental delays or behavioral challenges.
  • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis and competency in implementing fundamental procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of experience with interventions to address maladaptive behaviors.
  • Completion of the Behavior Technician training modules and Registered Behavior Technician test.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Must be able to travel; company does not provide vehicles or transportation.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of 25 pounds.
