Job Title: Behavior Technician

At Aveanna Healthcare, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals with developmental delays or behavioral challenges.

Job Summary

The Behavior Technician will work under the supervision of certified professionals to provide instructional, behavioral, and personal care support to individuals. This includes implementing behavior analytic programs, collecting data, and maintaining accurate documentation. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior analytic programs and collect data to track progress
  • Provide support to individuals with developmental delays or behavioral challenges
  • Collaborate with certified professionals to develop and implement individualized plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and team members
Requirements
  • At least one year of full-time paid work experience in a job that involved direct contact with children or adolescents
  • High School degree in a related field and three years' experience working with individuals with developmental delays or behavioral challenges
  • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis and competency in the implementation of fundamental procedures
  • One year experience with interventions to address maladaptive behaviors
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
Working Conditions

The Behavior Technician will work in a variety of settings, including homes, schools, and community centers. The successful candidate will be able to travel and work independently, with occasional supervision.
