Job Title: Staffing Behavior Technician

At Aveanna Healthcare, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staffing Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Staffing Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals with developmental delays or behavioral challenges.

Job Summary:

The Staffing Behavior Technician will work under the supervision of certified or licensed staff members to provide support to clients in a home, community, or school setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and be able to implement fundamental procedures to promote skill acquisition and reduce problem behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement ABA programs as directed by supervisors, including data collection and graphing.
  • Assist in the completion of assessments, such as VB-MAPP and ABLLS.
  • Provide support to clients in a home, community, or school setting, including facilitating inclusion in general education activities.
  • Model behavior analytic teaching strategies for parents and/or school personnel.
  • Collect accurate data for behavioral incidents and provide accurate information to supervisors.
  • Perform non-instructional duties as directed by supervisors.
Requirements:
  • At least one year of full-time paid work experience in a job that involved direct contact with children or adolescents.
  • High School degree in a related field and three years' experience working with individuals with developmental delays or behavioral challenges.
  • Familiarity with ABA and competency in the implementation of fundamental procedures.
  • One year experience with interventions to address maladaptive behaviors.
  • Completion of the Behavior Technician training modules and registration with the BACB within six months of hire.

  • Attention to detail.
  • Good organization and time management.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Must be able to travel; company does not provide vehicles or transportation.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of 25 pounds.
  • Prolonged walking, standing, climbing of stairs, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and crouching.
Environment:
  • Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions.
  • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
