Position Overview: The Patient Care Associate plays a vital role in delivering compassionate and effective care to patients within the healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patient rooms and units to ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients during their stay.
  • Assist patients through admission, transfer, and discharge processes, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Measure and document vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, and blood pressure as directed, ensuring accurate records in the system.
  • Promptly report any significant changes in patient conditions or behaviors to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Support patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility, while maintaining a compassionate approach.
  • Assist in meal preparation and service, ensuring that patient dietary needs are met with respect and care.
  • Safely transport patients to various locations within the facility, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
  • Verify patient identification before transportation and maintain respectful interactions with patients and their families.
  • Retrieve and deliver medications as instructed, ensuring proper handling and security.
  • Respond to patient call lights promptly and assist with personal care needs, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Contribute to maintaining a therapeutic healthcare environment by cleaning and preparing rooms and equipment, reporting any issues as necessary.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and provide input for shift reports to enhance unit services.
  • Utilize resources efficiently to support high-quality healthcare delivery.
  • Engage in ongoing education and training to improve personal performance and patient care skills.
  • Assist healthcare professionals with examinations and treatments, ensuring adherence to care plans.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the healthcare team.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
