Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in performing a variety of nursing care services for patients, including bathing, ambulating, feeding, and personal hygiene.
  • Collect and document data for patient assessments and reassessments, and provide information to licensed nurses for analysis and validation.
  • Contribute to a safe and quality care environment by communicating effectively with team members and relaying important information.
  • Inform licensed nurses of any changes in patient condition, needs, or complaints, and provide education to patients and their families as needed.
  • Perform mechanical and manual operations of equipment, and recognize common mechanical problems and initiate corrective action.
  • May perform point-of-care testing according to policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Passing grade on state of work location required exam.
  • No experience required.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Frequent use of vision for distances near and far, and to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting/moving patients.
Required Professional License and/or Certifications
