Job Summary

The University of Hawaii Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Special Events to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, planning and executing high-profile events that advance the University of Hawaii's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic event plans to engage donors, alumni, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate logistics, vendors, and resources.
  • Manage event budgets, finances, and reporting to ensure fiscal responsibility and transparency.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure successful event execution.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure a positive experience for attendees, donors, and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in event planning, management, and execution.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
Working Conditions

This position requires a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. The Associate Director of Special Events will work primarily in an office environment and may need to visit areas of the University campus and other locations in and around the island.
