Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Permitting Specialist to join our team at TekCom Resources. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting various entitlement applications, permits, and agreements to facilitate the installation of communications facilities on client poles, towers, fiber, and other infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit zoning and permitting applications, monitoring progress and facilitating jurisdictional requests for additional information.
  • Collaborate with the design team to facilitate permit drawings and construction documents related to towers, utilities, and ground equipment, evaluating jurisdictional redlines and negotiating with jurisdictions to remove preferences.
  • Provide timely system updates and communicate effectively with the production team and customers, both internal and external, managing zoning and permitting tasks in accordance with specified processes and metrics.
  • Serve as entitlement lead during weekly customer meetings, as needed, and provide subject matter expertise on state and local telecommunication municipal codes, including Section 6409(a) Wireless Facilities Deployment and related Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Orders.
  • Obtain and communicate zoning and permitting conditions of approval to internal teams, managing outside SAQ vendors as needed and communicating activities with team members and other departments.
  • Manage payment of applicable permitting fees via credit card or checks and ensure all costs are properly allocated for reimbursement visibility.
  • Participate in customer program management pre-project planning meetings and identify zoning and permitting requirements for each project.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with municipalities, including Code Enforcement Staff, Building Inspectors, Members of City Councils, Planning & Zoning Staffs, Commissions, and neighborhood groups, representing the client at municipal meetings to obtain all required zoning approvals.
