Job Summary:

Duke Health Integrated Practice is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to provide strategic HR support to clinical operation teams. The successful candidate will act as a central figure to provide human resources solutions, build effective working relationships, and drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the organization's vision, strategic direction, and business objectives to ensure effective HR alignment and support.
  • Conduct regular meetings with client groups to keep them informed of HR initiatives, processes, policies, and resources.
  • Participate in onboarding and offboarding activities to ensure timely and optimal engagement and productivity.
  • Provide advice and counsel to management and employees on policy interpretation, performance management, disciplinary action, compensation, leaves of absence, employee relations, and other HR-related matters.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Duke Staff & Labor Relations, compliance, and specialized areas of HR to facilitate efficient and effective support for the organization.
  • Analyze data, trends, and metrics to inform business decisions and identify strategic solutions.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Escalate organizational issues or challenges and prepare reports, analyses, and other written communication as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or equivalent.
  • Work requires two years of business, administrative, and/or supervisory experience with exposure to supervisory or human resource policies and practices related to employee relations.
  • A master's degree in a related field may be substituted for 2 years of experience.
  • PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP, SHRM SCP Certification preferred.

Work Environment:
