Basic Job Functions:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all financial records are kept in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This role involves overseeing and managing the month-end financial closing process, generating all necessary corporate and divisional reports, and maintaining effective internal controls.

This position will report directly to the Controller and will act as their deputy, providing guidance to accounting staff, accounts payable personnel, and finance clerks.

The candidate should also be capable of gaining a comprehensive understanding of the production environment and serve as a financial liaison with the management team.

This role will play a key part in mentoring team members across various departments while contributing to the overall leadership of the division.

The successful applicant must be open to relocation for future leadership opportunities within Nucor.


Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or the ability to obtain one within a year.
A minimum of two years of experience in accounting, finance, or business.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
Previous experience in financial leadership roles.
At least two years of experience in manufacturing or cost accounting.
CPA, CMA, Master’s Degree, or MBA.

Must have a recommendation from a supervisor or manager and must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
