Job Summary:

As a key member of The Children's Place facilities team, the Facilities Maintenance Manager will oversee and manage daily maintenance and facilities initiatives. This includes supervising a team of maintenance professionals, selecting and interviewing candidates, coaching and counseling staff, and managing budgets for parts and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of maintenance professionals to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Select and interview candidates for maintenance positions, and provide coaching and counseling to staff to ensure they meet performance expectations.
  • Manage budgets for parts and projects, and report to the Director of Facilities and other members of management on any impacts to operations.
  • Oversee and manage daily maintenance and facilities initiatives, including maintenance and repairs of conveyor, sorters, and ancillary equipment, and trouble shooting MHE (material handling equipment) and DC building systems.
  • Manage and oversee preventive maintenance programs, and plan, budget, and schedule facilities modifications and/or structural repairs.
  • Prepare cost estimates, review building layouts and vendor contracts, and implement Health and Safety programs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience working in a Distribution Center environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
  • Electrical and mechanical background, with knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) a plus.
  • MHE experience and certifications, with the ability to work with, motivate, and mentor associates.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing technology environment, prioritize and handle multiple tasks, and possess superior leadership, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work extended/flexible hours and travel occasionally.
