Basic Job Functions:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all financial records are kept in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. This role involves overseeing and managing the month-end financial close process, generating all necessary corporate and divisional reports, and maintaining robust internal controls.

This position will report directly to the Controller and will act as their deputy, providing guidance to accountants, accounts payable personnel, and finance clerks.

The candidate should have the capability to gain a comprehensive understanding of the production environment and serve as a financial liaison with the management team of the division.

This role will also play a crucial part in the development of team members across various departments while being an active participant in the division's leadership team.

The successful candidate must be open to relocation for future leadership opportunities within Nucor.


Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or the ability to obtain one within a year.
A minimum of two years of experience in accounting, finance, or business.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
Previous experience in financial leadership roles.
Two years of experience in manufacturing or cost accounting.
CPA, CMA, Master's Degree, or MBA.

Must have a recommendation from a supervisor or manager and must be capable of performing all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
